Psalm 85:11 – Truth springs from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.
Ever see the stony ground or pavement with a thin crack in it, and a flower jutting out of that tiny, thin opening?
That flower was determined to come through somewhere, to find an opening to break through to the sunlight, it knew was up there somewhere. It searched in that dark earth not knowing exactly where it was going, or what was ahead. It just new it had to keep going, searching in the dark.
Then, in a moment of clarity, it sees the light, through a small crack. Immediately the purpose is clear, the path has been discovered and the way out has arrived. All energy now is focused on that point.
The thin stem reaches up into the light and begins to grow. Higher and taller as the nourishing sun feeds the hunger it didn’t even know was there. Then the rain falls softly, and the blooming begins. The flower has found its purpose at last.
Jesus said to him “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.
We have a Hope, and we are His, let us never forget or lose heart.
